OPEN POSITION: CHEMIST
Are you passionate about developing new products from renewable natural materials? Are you interested in formulating product solutions for different industrial sectors, including the cosmetics industry? Do you find motivation in quality assurance and in developing analytical methods for the products you help create?
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a chemist for a diverse and responsible role. The position involves planning, developing, and testing product formulations, including applications for cosmetic products. Your work will include preparing model formulations and developing optimised recipes based on our natural raw materials.
The role also covers the development and validation of analytical methods for Innomost’s products, the creation of a quality assurance manual, and responsibility for quality assurance activities. You will work closely with quality control, R&D, production, and sales. This is a varied role within a growing company whose ambition is to become a leading processor of birch bark side streams from the forest industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing, developing, and testing formulations at laboratory scale
- Designing, researching, developing, and validating analytical methods
- Acting as the responsible person for quality assurance
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree (e.g. MSc in Chemistry or a degree in Chemical Engineering), preferably with a background in organic chemistry
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in the field of chemistry
- Experience of, or a solid understanding of, quality manuals and quality assurance within the chemical industry
- Fluent Finnish language skills
- Ability to report and communicate professionally in English
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- A proactive, structured, and detail-oriented working approach

OPEN POSITION: PROCESS TECHNICIAN
Job Description
We are looking for a Process Operator to operate our pilot plant and support process development. The role includes the production of test and production batches. The work is varied, and you will become part of a team aiming to grow into a leading processor of forest industry side streams in the future.
The Role Includes
- Handling of raw materials
- Monitoring and operating production equipment
- Packaging and dispatch of products
Qualifications
- Qualification as a Process Operator or other relevant technical education
