Birch bark is a valuable renewable raw material and an underutilised side stream of the forest industry. It is biodegradable, naturally abundant and rich in unique compounds such as betulin and suberin. These molecules contribute to the tree’s natural protection against moisture, environmental stress and microbial exposure.

Due to their natural structure, betulin and suberin offer functional properties such as hydrophobicity, durability and protective performance, making them promising building blocks for bio-based materials used in cosmetics, coatings, adhesives and other industrial applications.

We have developed and patented a unique production process that enables the efficient extraction and purification of Betulin and Suberin from birch bark.

This technology allows us to produce high-purity biobased ingredients at industrial scale, with consistent quality and reliable supply for demanding applications.

By combining renewable forest resources with advanced material processing, we transform birch bark into high-value bio-based ingredients that can help replace fossil-based raw materials in cosmetics and industrial formulations.
